Tamam Restaurant was founded in 2005 by Andreas Chalkias. It is well known for its fantastic tastes and excellent service. Tamam has a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The menu has a large variety of dishes.
This warm, atmospheric restaurant is described as a steakhouse on its sign outside, but really it has an incredibly eclectic menu which encompasses cuisine from all over the world. From Greek specialities such as pita bread with feta cheese and creamy mousaka or baked cheese pie to international food like cannelloni and tomato and parmesan pasta, you’ll be spoilt for choice here.

Many travellers visit Tamam Restaurant from all over the world leaving with wonderful memories from Rhodes. The Restaurant was recently renovated. It has now a fresh new look!

I was in Rhodes for one week, it was my first time ever and i thought there was going to be great food at most places because I've been in Greece a lot of times due to me having Greek parents and living in Sweden. But I was wrong we ate three meals a day at restaurants and tried at least 10, but none of them were nearly as good as Tamam. They weren't even comparable. And the funny thing is the restaurant has pretty much the same price as other restaurants i.e it's pretty cheap for having such good quality meat and other great quality groceries. If you want to have great Greek food in Rhodes town and maybe one of the food experiences of your life you should eat here. Be sure to maybe book a table because the restaurant is very small.

Excellent food, well cooked in a freindlt atmospher. The menue included all the usual Greek classics 9 Mousaka, Stifado, kleftico etc) but also had a range of orginal dishes such as pork loin roasted with honey and mustard or stake with tagleteli served in a spicy enchalade shell. Most dishes are a bit more pricy than neighbouring restaurants but well worth the extra money. The only negative thing I could say about it is that there was no chicken on the menue.

We deliberately sought out this restaurant after reading the reviews here. We were staying nearby and found it easily - at the top of Georgiou Leontis in the New Town (get a map from the Information office or ask any taxi driver to take you). The place is small and simply furnished, but very tasteful, with open frontage on to a bustling side street. The lovely host is Andreas, the amazing chef is his wife Maria and the cutest waitress is their daughter to be proud of - the sweetheart Marina. The food is SO GOOD you will not want to eat elsewhere - and we didn't! The prices are so reasonable for such high quality food. Try sharing courses so you can savour lots of dishes. We particularly liked the stuffed mushroom starter, the Rhodian pitas - Maria's cream sauces are superb - and the pork shank in honey sauce is gorgeous. The home made baklava and vanilla ice cream is the only dessert on offer - and why would you want anything else? It's the best baklava we've ever had - and we thought we'd had some good ones. The medium house red wine is lovely. Their success and reputation are so well deserved - bravo Andreas, Maria and Marina - see you again, when we've been on a diet!!!

This was one of my favorite restaurants during our month long trip through Greece. The absolute best service and great quality food. Decided to try this place due to reviews I had read before leaving home for this trip. We had a rental car but were unable to find this place. Traffic was horrendous and the streets are narrow and no parking spaces seen. We decided to drive back to our hotel-Ibiscus-and leave the car. My husband and I set off to walk. We're about ready to give up when I spot the sign. I'm extremely happy. The restaurant is small-maybe 15 tables? We have no reservation but are lucky as there's an open table right by the window looking out to the street. Our waiter who appears to be taking care of everyone is one of the most friendly people. He hands us our menus and I find what I'm looking for. I order the pork filet/tenderloin stuffed with sun dried tomatoes, cheese sauce and walnuts. It comes with potato wedges. Our waiter says I've made the best choice-it's his favorite and I shouldn't share with my husband! My husband orders the pork filet/tenderloin stuffed with roasted red peppers and topped with feta cheese. His meal comes with pasta. When the food arrives I eagerly attack my entree. It is sooo delicious but I must be truthful and say the sauce is VERY rich. My husband's entree is very good too. We do sample each other's choices despite our waiter saying I shouldn't share. There's just so much on the plate. My husband helps by eating some of mine along with his. He needs several Mythos beers to help! I'm happy with a coke and water. The pork was so tender it melted in your mouth and no need for a knife to cut the meat. As I looked at other diners they all seemed to be enjoying their meals/choices as much as we were. Our waiter returns with some complimentary chocolate type drinks. Whatever it was it was heavenly! When we tell him how much we enjoyed our meal he is so pleased and genuinely happy. What a great people person. He converses with all the other diners too. With our drinks and tip this great meal costs a bit over 50 euros which isn't bad for the quality and amount of food. Remarkable service is the icing on the cake. We would absolutely return and can highly recommend this restaurant. An eating experience not to be missed!

If you are in Rhodes do not miss eating at this restaurant, you will most definitely not be disappointed. It is a family restaurant run by Andreas, Maria and their daughters. Maria single handedly does all the cooking and she is one talented chef. Everything we have eaten has been cooked to world class perfection with beautifully fresh, tasty ingredients. We have visited twice and tried the cheese with honey and almonds, feta wrapped in aubergine with delicious tomato sauce, chicken souvlaki, king prawns in orange and ouzo sauce and fillet steak wrapped in aubergine, and mousaka, and they were all absolutely amazing, some of the best food we have ever tasted. Even the simple things like the rice served with the souvlaki is so light and fluffy, best you will eat. As for Maria’s speciality, her homemade cinnamon baklava, it is to die for!! There is a good variety of very tasty choices on the menu, and as Andreas pointed out no pictures!! On top of enjoying fantastic food, we also enjoyed the warm friendly hospitality from Andreas, Maria and their daughter. They are very kind and generous too, treating us to the amazing baklava on the house and delicious chilled red wine with fresh peaches on our second visit. The setting is intimate and buzzy, the prices extremely reasonable. The family are clearly extremely passionate and talented at what they do resulting in a fantastic dining experience for their lucky customers. Will be back for one last time before sadly we have to leave for home
